We Read Our Own Stories: Children Write for Children was compiled and edited by Dr. Nina Zaragoza, creator of the highly successful T.A.G. program, an innovative writing method which teaches children of all ages and abilities to
be published authors. This anthology contains stories written by young authors from around the world. Some are from China, Russia, Ecuador, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti and the United States. Many now live in the United States in places that include Brooklyn, Bronx, Miami, and Michigan.
The youngest contributing author is three years old and the oldest is 13. Their urban stories reflect a diverse cultural landscape, and at the same time celebrate a unifying love of expression through creative writing. Over 100 short stories have been selected for this anthology with topics ranging from mysterious museum thieves, to wartime in Israel, to being stuck on the R Subway train in New York City.
Happy reading and writing!!!!
